From early in the morning to late at night, LNS can accommodate your busy schedule. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Office hours 9:30-6:00). Fridays: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Office hours 10:00-6:30). Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Office hours 9:00-2:00). Sundays per appointment (Office closed).

Since we are the largest school in North County San Diego, we can be a 'full service' music school. Since we are a full-service music studio this allows us to offer lessons as early as 8 a.m. and we see many students between the hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are a home school parent, retiree, college student or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunchtime lesson spots.

With over 2,700 square feet, we have the most spacious and parent friendly waiting area in Encinitas. There is no waiting in a music retail store; our clients enjoy a spacious, professional parent's lounge with ample seating, kids homework station with supplies, free Wi-Fi, and filtered water. Each teaching room has a window through which parents may observe your child's lesson, or feel free to join the experience anytime you like.
Our office staff is available six days a week to serve you.
In Encinitas, our school offers full-time professional customer service for our students six days a week. Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher/owner or more commonly an answering machine. We have several office staff who are available to aide our clients promptly and efficiently.

Due to its central location, our school is convenient to all areas of Encinitas. Close to our school, you will find great shopping, dining and grocery specialty stores like Trader Joe's and Sprouts. FREE Picture Days offered several times a year.
We are the only music school in Encinitas that offers a free picture day for their students. Every Summer and Winter we host a free picture day during recitals with professional photographer Chris Tillman. These photographs are a service that our student's parents love as they all want quality photos of their children. Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.
Certificates, trophies, and award wristbands to celebrate achievement.
We are the only music school in North County that allows our students to earn unique color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer awards and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them a cool "Musical Ladder" wristband that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here. We offer lesson packages and flex passes.
The studio does not require contracts or a minimum number of lessons. Every client here is on a 4-week basis. We specialize in music lessons for adults and offer flex passes to help with your busy work schedule.

Kindermusik is designed to connect with every child's unique learning style. Classroom teachers become an extension of Kindermusik as they lead children through playful, interactive, and developmentally appropriate music and movement activities. Cuddle, Bounce, and Bop with Your Baby!
Whether your baby is five weeks or five months, this class will be perfect for you! With age-appropriate activities for newborns, infants and crawlers, this parent-child music and movement class will help you strengthen those early parent-child bonds, understand your baby's development, and heavily focus on child development and communication with your baby. You and your baby will enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time—and you'll get expert advice and parenting resources based on the most recent research in baby development.

Create, rehearse and perform a special musical for singers, dancers, and instrumentalists!
Create costumes, design sets, and work together to create a musical play.
Kids can choose the roles they want to play or perform.
We welcome those who are interested in stage production only and would prefer to help "backstage." For others, All kids who want to will have speaking roles and singing parts.
We will have a special public performance at the end of the week where kids get a chance to shine and show off their hard work!

Fridays 5:00-6:30. Ages 11+ or intermediate level only. If your child would like to perform and record music with others their age, this is the class for them! Students will be working with Recording Artist Jason Berman as he helps assemble material and bring the song arrangements together. Once the group is ready, they will spend several classes in our recording studio with Head Engineer Amber Flynn, tracking and receiving a first class recording experience until the song is complete. Then, they will start all over again with the next tune! Current and Past Songs: 1. Happy, 2. Tear in my Heart, 3. Feel it Still, 4. 7 Nation Army, 5. When I Come Around, 6. Crazy Train, 7. Last Sunday of every month. Ages 5 to 9 - 3:00-4:45; Ages 10+ - 5:00-6:45. Each session, a theme or topic will be chosen by the attendees. They will then learn how to sing the music, learn commonly used audition choreography, practice dialogue, and put it all together in a performance as though they are auditioning for a musical. Each session is a stand-alone session. Students may join any session at anytime. Ready-set-go!

This includes the main four steps required in the recording process, which are: recording, editing, mixing, and mastering.
Besides offering all the traditional services expected from a professional Recording Studio, Leading Note also provides a seamless experience from the classroom learning experience to recording your unique project. In our individual classes we will teach you all about the digital audio software with you
(Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, Native Instruments) and show you all the features and functions you will need to know to get you up and running to record! This includes all the basics which include (but are not limited to): understanding signal flow, creating new tracks, using the audio interface for microphone and instrument recording, mixing, and understanding how to capture sound.
